DESCRIPTION
- Equivac TAT is used in the treatment and prevention of tetanus due to Clostridium tetani
- Equivac TAT is one of a range of Equivac products available for tetanus treatment and control
- Equivac TAT is not a vaccine. It is a purified concentrated hyperimmune antiserum containing antibodies to tetanus toxin
- Equivac TAT is approved for use in horses, cattle, sheep, goats, pigs and dogs
- Equivac TAT provides a means of immediate protection against tetanus where the animal is not vaccinated
- Combined Active-Passive Protection: Equivac T or Equivac® 2in1 can be administered simultaneously with Equivac TAT. A separate needle and syringe should be used for each product and administration should be on opposite sides of the body. If initiating a primary course the second dose of Equivac T or Equivac 2in1 should be administered 4 to 6 weeks later
