Borage (Borago officinalis) is an annual herb to around 90cm with blue star-shaped flowers that are highly attractive to bees. Young leaves and flowers can be used in salads and as garnishes.

Sowing guide: space 20–25cm apart, rows 30–50cm apart, 0.5cm deep; best soil temperature 10–25°C. Planting: Tropics May–Aug; Subtropics Sep–Nov; Mild Oct–Dec; Cold/Frost Nov–Dec. Around 50–60 days.
