Carrot – Chantenay Red-Cored is a broad, shorter carrot with orange-red colour through the root, sweet tender flesh and good performance in heavier soils.
Packet size: approximately 300 seeds.
Sowing guide: direct sow 2–5cm apart, rows 25–30cm apart, 0.5–1cm deep; best soil temperature 10–30°C. Planting: Tropics Feb–Nov; Subtropics Feb–Nov; Mild Sep–May; Cold/Frost Sep–Feb. Around 60–74 days.
