An impressive European heirloom leek prized for exceptionally long, slender white shanks and a mild, sweet flavour. Bulgarian Giant grows tall and upright with blue-green foliage and can produce very long tender stems when progressively earthed up.

Packet: 100 seeds.

Growing notes: Grow in rich, well-drained soil and keep consistently watered. Plant seedlings deeply and gradually hill soil around the stems as they grow to blanch and lengthen the tender white portion.

Sowing guide: Plant 10–15cm apart, rows 30–75cm apart, sow 0.5–1cm deep. Best soil temperature 8–30°C.
