A decorative cut-and-come-again looseleaf lettuce with deeply curled magenta leaves and a light green base. Its compact habit makes it as attractive in the garden as it is on the plate.

Growing notes: Lettuce prefers rich, well-drained soil close to neutral pH. It generally dislikes very hot conditions but can tolerate some shade.

Sowing guide: Plant 20–30cm apart, rows 35–50cm apart, sow about 0.6cm deep. Best soil temperature 8–27°C.
