A bold Japanese mustard green with large, tender purplish-red leaves and a strong mustard flavour. It brings colour and heat to salads and Asian-style dishes, with cooking mellowing the pungency.

Growing notes: A quick-growing cool-season leafy vegetable that tolerates light frost. Sow through the cooler parts of the year for best leaf quality.

Sowing guide: Plant 35–60cm apart, rows 50–75cm apart, sow 0.5–1cm deep. Best soil temperature 10–35°C.
