An Italian heirloom producing small round white onions to around 20mm. Excellent for pickling, roasting and soups, with young thinnings also useful fresh in salads.

Packet: 100 seeds.

Growing notes: Grow in full sun in rich, well-drained soil. Avoid waterlogging and excessive fertiliser. Sow through the cooler months; this variety can also be sown in spring.

Sowing guide: Plant 5–10cm apart, rows 30–40cm apart, sow 0.5–1cm deep. Best soil temperature 8–30°C.
