Zucchini – Black Zucchini (Black Beauty) – Eden Seeds

An early-bearing bush zucchini producing uniform cylindrical fruit with very dark green skin and white flesh. Fine quality and prolific; regular picking encourages continued production. Released in 1941.

Packet: 25 seeds.

Growing notes: Grow in rich, well-drained soil and keep evenly moist. Avoid excessive fertiliser. Sow after frost or start indoors around 5 weeks before transplanting, taking care not to disturb roots.

Sowing guide: Plant 50–90cm apart, with 90–110cm between rows. Sow 2–3cm deep. Best soil temperature 21–35°C.

Tropics: Feb–Sep
Subtropics: Any time
Mild: Sep–Jan
Cold/Frost: Oct–Dec

Maturity: Approximately 50–63 days.
